November 25^th, 2006: Barcelona

26 UNITECH Students and Alumni had the chance to visit the new symbol of the skyline of Barcelona and headquarters of a UNITECH Corporate Partner AGBAR.
The visit was followed by a dinner in a restaurant close to the tower.

October 10^th, 2006: Delft

The new students were welcomed to The Netherlands by TU Delft at a show of 'Boom Chicago' in Amsterdam. We enjoyed a great meal and saw the comedians do their improvisation show with many recognizable jokes about the Dutch.

September 28^th, 2006: Barcelona

Almost all of the new UNITECH Students attended to the welcome dinner hold by the UAA in a nice restaurant in Barcelona.

September 23^th, 2006: Paris

The UAA Council Meeting was held in Paris from September 22nd to September 25th. This was the occasion for an apero and a dinner together with LUC France.

August 4^th, 2006: Zurich

We were only 7 persons - 2 new Unitech students and 5 alumni, but we had a nice Pre-Welcome GetTogether in the Nine Bar in Zurich. The alumni shared their best Unitech experiences and the new students were very interested in getting to know all details about the stay abroad, the internship, etc. I think we were able to spread some enthusiasm for the upcoming Unitech year!

July 13^th, 2006: Barcelona

More than 20 people gathered in an Italian restaurant in the Barcelona city centre for the end-of-year LUC Spain event. Newly elected students had the chance to have the first UNITECH experience and ask Alumni about the programme. Air conditioning problems inside the restaurant wasn't enough to discourage participants to have a great time!!

June 19^th, 2006: Barcelona

Taking advantage of Carel visit, around 10 students and Alumni gathered to have some tapas & drinks in Las Ramblas surroundings while following the World Cup match of the Spanish national team.

June 15^th, 2006: Geneva, Chamonix

20 alumni, a music festival, an amazing altitude difference and a lot of snow were the perfect ingredients for a wonderful weekend in Geneva and Chamonix!
After a musical evening in Geneva, we all headed towards Chamonix where the group climbed towards the top at the Lac Blanc at 2352m, some partly by cable car, others entirely on foot. Keeping each other warm in the hut with hot coco (and rum) during a rainy night and sleeping with everybody in one room created an even closer bond. In the early Sundaymorning we awoke with a perfect blue sky and a wonderful view on the Mont Blanc. Descending the mountain was an adventorous trail where some used their feet and others slid down sitting. All in all we can say the revived spring session was a big success! A special thanks to the particpants for their cheerful moods and a wonderful weekend.

Mai 27^th-28^th, 2006: Costa Brava

Adventure&Beach&food during an exciting weekend in the Costa Brava.
An original activity combining Team work and action was done the 28.05.2006. The organisation was so perfect, that all participants decided to spend the whole weekend and enjoy the delicious meals and gorgeous beaches of the Costa Brava. Greatly guided, the Alumni discovered some interesting places of the area (the medieval Pals, Sa Riera Beach (Begur) and Port de la Selva Beach).
The activity consisted in escaping from the Figueres Fortress, the biggest one in Europe. Two teams were set: Soldiers and Riders. Each team had to find several papers and keys lost in the fortress, in order to escape from it before the other team. After two hours and a half, the Soldiers saw the light and escaped first, followed by the Riders who did it not too long after.

Mai 27^th, 2006: Cambridge

UNITECH students and alumni met in picturesque Cambridge to spend an interesting (and unfortunately rainy) day. The programme comprised a guided tour of Cambridge, expanded lunch and coffee breaks and an unexpected extensive "Fussball" tournament in the afternoon. The early evening weather changed to something a bit more enjoyable, and the day was capped off with a light dinner at the river Cam and a quite contemporary but hilarious performance of Shakespeare’s Macbeth at the ADC Theatre.

The new Swedish students were invited by Chalmers/UAA to play some bowling and have a dinner in central Göteborg. Both students on current exchange, alumni and new students joined and the result was a fun evening for all!

April 1^st, 2006: Gothenburg

At the Göteborg Gocart Center alumni raced against each other. It was a tight race, with a couple of purely accidental (or?) collisions... The event ended with a dinner in a nice pub in Göteborg.

March 13^th, 2006: Barcelona

Dinner-Finger food organised by UPC where some Alumni and CPs representatives (IBM España, Hilti, ZF, AtlasCopco) gathered.

February 11^th, 2006: Tarragona

Alumni and Students visited one of the biggest refineries in Spain: Repsol Ypf, one of our CPs. During the morning they offered us a presentation on the oil business followed by a guided tour of the whole refinery. Lunch was offered by the company. During the afternoon we had a visit to the Roman Tarragona.

January 6^th-8^th, 2006: Milano

A great get-together for Alumni in Milan and visitors from other countries, with a fantastic day in the mountains too: our uphill walk in the snow in Valsassina, Lombardy, was rewarded by a fabulous lunch in a hut on the top. The program outline can be found in the event flyer.
